Fassnight Creek

Springfield, MO

Untitled design (16).png

Completed in 2022

The Fassnight Creek Streambank Stabilization project was a joint venture with the James River Basin Partnership, the City of Springfield, and stream contractor Brian Kuehn. This small stabilization project in mid-town Springfield prevents further bank erosion near a cemetery, Campbell Avenue, Fassnight Park and Parkview High School. City of Springfield stream maintenance crews received training, and this centrally located project will serve as an example of naturalized stream maintenance and protection for future projects.

Wagner & Associates provided a hydraulic analysis, streambank stabilization design and drawing, and obtained a USACE Section 404 permit for work within a stream channel.
